Concept and organization
Concept
"Community Wireless = wireless projects organized and run by local residents, with or without support from the municipality. These grassroots initiatives — run by volunteers — force local and regional governments to remove barriers to affordable wireless (and wired) broadband access. Where governments have been too slow and risk-averse, these groups unwire their communities with do-it-yourself networks." (http://muniwireless.com/about/)
