Description

"This project attempts to explore the open source technology (with a focus on hardware) for agriculture emerging from a mode of production different from the capitalist one, that of commons-based peer production. There are indeed several existing open source projects in relation to the primary sector of the economy, and particularly agriculture. This project combines theories about technology and social movements in order to examine how the various individuals and groups involved in open source agricultural technology frame their activities and how this influences the development process and form of the technology itself. Ultimately the goal is make a contribution to the dialogue on alternative technological development models." (http://www.p2plab.gr/en/archives/1162)
