= The Social Web Incubator Group (SWXG) was founded as an outcome of the Workshop on the Future of the Social Networking to uncover and document existing technologies, software, and standards (both proposed and adopted) needed to enable a universal and distributed Social Web. The group also sought to identify gaps, conflicts, and other areas for future standardization and research to increase adoption of the Social Web. [1]
