Description

"The Open Budgets Blog believes that government budgets should respond to the needs of the people, especially the poor and marginalized. This is not always an easy task, even when governments are willing. The Open Budgets Blog is therefore dedicated to the discussion of how to align government budgets to the needs of the people. We report on the efforts of citizens, civil society organizations, oversight institutions such as legislatures and technicians to improve the alignment of budgets to the needs of the people.

The Open Budget Blog is operated by the International Budget Partnership. The IBP believes that budget transparency and citizen participation make better government budgets. Better government budgets improve the lives of poor and marginalized people. This is why the IBP supports citizens’ efforts to engage in government budget processes through training, research and funding in more than 100 countries." (http://openbudgetsblog.org/about/) ]
