Many people within Occupy Wall Street, especially people in its technology operations groups, consider Occupy as a political manifestation of the free, libre and open source movement(s).

Occupy Wall Street has committed to using free, libre and open source solutions whenever practically possible. The group uses Wordpress, Drupal and Django for many of it's sites. You can see a collection of FLO software tools made available to occupy activists at occupy.net.

Occupy.net is described as follows: "Occupy.net provides people with software tools that align with the values of the #occupy movement. All of the tools offered here are free/libre/open source: part of the global information commons, maintained by communities, not corporations."
