"Nathan Seidle is a visionary in the open source hardware movement and has taken action by founding his company SparkFun Electronics. Nathan coined the term "intellectual property obesity" after looking around at other companies that were obtaining patents and proceed to "no longer innovate". What large companies don't realize is that if your idea is easily copied and sold for profit, it will be sold in the local market.
