Granularity

= The more granular a resource, the smaller the chunk of information it contains.

"For example, on Wikipedia, the content is broken down into smaller components: entries, sections, or paragraphs. People can contribute from one word to thousands of words (or figures). So, the modules allow for any size of the contribution to match different levels of contributors’ motivation and time availability – a property called “granularity” (Benkler 2006)".
