"The Blade is a near unique car. It took just eight months to move from a conceptual design to being produced as a vehicle. 3D printed nodes connect carbon fiber tubing resulting in an industrial strength chassis that can be assembled in a matter of minutes. It can go from 0-60 in around two seconds and it sounds and looks like a sportscar. Still, it isn’t just a vehicles that has been made in a cool way. Indeed, the vehicle, designed and created by Divergent Microfactories, could represent the future of auto-manufacturing.

The Blade design concept significantly reduces the material and energy inputs that go into a car. Divergent Microfactroies CEO Kevin Czinger said:

“The cool thing about this is that we’re building modular structures that will be completely validated and safety tested and can be re-conformed to be whatever shape and whatever body you want”." (
