"A Distributed Application (DApp) is simply an application that lives on multiple computers in a network. Bitcoin is an example of a DApp, and Ethereum is a DApp as well, but also a platform upon which DApps can be built. All DAOs, DAIs, and DACs are implementations of different types of DApps."
