Introduction

CRM can stand for Customer Relationship Management or Constituent Relationship Management, depending on whether the group developing the software is optimizing for the needs of commercial organisations marketing goods and services to customers, or the needs of not-for-profit groups interacting with members and supporters. CRM packages aimed at not-for-profits are sometimes also known as AMS (Association Management Systems). Software packages that provide CRM functions sometimes integrate others sets of functions including website CMS (Content Management System). - Danyl Strype

Not-For-Profit Orientated Free Code Platforms With CRM Functions

In response to the shift of many CMS and CRM projects towards serving the needs of large corporate and NGO clients, a number of open source communities have formed to address the challenges of providing a user-friendly, free code platform that allows small-medium not-for-profit organisations to access a digital organising toolkit, without selling their soul to Silicon Valley capitalists. - Danyl Strype
