"This is a locally adaptable software module that enables individuals to enter into relationships with absolute assurance that their digital identities, privacy, and security will be protected under terms they can personally shape and control. Trust wrappers can be used as an access control system for any digital artifact. They let people enter into and maintain trusted relationships on open networks, including Trust on First Use (TOFU) – and this, in turn, lets new sorts of communities and markets arise on open networks with a bare minimum of external systems of law and policy."
