Siyang Li:

"Reward-Based Humanism means rebuilding the social mechanism by which human contribution returns to human life. A person who works honestly should not be pun‐ ished for doing so. A family that raises children should not be left alone. A consumer should not be forced to carry every corporate cost. An employee should not become disposable input for an AI strategy. A local shop should not be crushed by a platform that extracts value without returning vitality to the community. A technology should return as lower burden, better life, and greater capability, not simply higher prices and tighter control.

In Smith’s language, production exists for consumption. In human language, systems exist for people. Firms do not exist only for share prices, capital markets, AI narrat‐ ives, proprietary standards, or controlled ecosystems. They exist because human beings need tools, services, goods, trust, and better lives.

The task is not abstract revolution. The task is redesigning return. Every price, policy, technology, school, hospital, housing market, food system, transport network, AI plat‐ form, cultural institution, and corporate strategy should be judged by one question: what does it return to human life?

The crises of the present are not separate accidents. AI price inflation, PC and smart‐ phone cost pressure, Meta’s morale crisis, Google-style emotional management, Apple and Nvidia-era cost transfer, Deutsche Bahn’s service shrinkage, paper-straw environmental formalism, OceanGate’s engineering failure, the mythology of French language and cuisine, low fertility, and weak consumption all point to one structure. Value is extracted from people, but it does not return to them. Form replaces life. Narrative replaces substance. Compliance replaces comfort. Producer interest re‐ places consumer purpose. Cultural prestige replaces sensory reality. AI rhetoric re‐ places real benefit. Monopoly replaces competition. Human beings become inputs.

A society cannot live on form. People live through trust, food, warmth, family, dignity, community, fair prices, useful tools, and a future worth entering. If those do not re‐ turn, no amount of AI, luxury branding, market capitalization, or elite language can prevent internal collapse.

The Theory of Relational Relativity and Reward-Based Humanism are attempts to name this failure and restore the principle of return. A system that takes from people must return to people. Without that, the market becomes a toll machine, culture be‐ comes a costume, technology becomes a tax, and society quietly loses its future."
