Description
REINCANTAMENTO is a research and publishing group founded in 2020, working across Berlin, Turin, and Venice, that explores the relationship between technology, radical imagination, and ritual. It was founded and is curated by Alessandro Y. Longo, with members Anna Fasolato, Matteo Osio, Kinked, Giorgio Craparo, Simone Robutti, and Jeein.
The idea behind it. "Re-enchantment" is their guiding framework — a speculative lens for re-signifying reality. In an age where action feels paralyzed, they look for the cracks where agency still survives, cultivating what they call a philosophy of hope and weaving networks of resistance and imagination in the present.
History
It started as a series of Medium articles by Longo in April 2020 on philosophical approaches to digital technology, surveillance, and design. That grew into daily Instagram output, articles across various magazines, and Speculum!. In 2022 the group moved to Berlin and began staging performances and workshops. The website itself was built around the digital garden concept — a Web 1.0 notion of a slowly growing, richly linked knowledge space where you choose which thread of curiosity to follow, rather than being carried along by an algorithmic feed.
Collaborations include Panke Gallery, MFRU 2025, 0xSalon, Trust, Baltan Laboratories, HackThePromise Festival, NABA, Serpentine Galleries & RadicalXChange, SAVVY Contemporary, MoCa, MacTe, 48h Neukölln 2023, C/O Digital Festival 2022, IAM Festival 2021, MiGarden, Almanac Torino, and magazines such as SCHON, Not, L'Indiscreto, and Singola.
