“I recently attended an education conference in Victoria, Australia. One of the speakers was Pia Waugh, from Linux Australia (and OLPC Friends), who spoke about “Open Source Futures”. She basically spoke about the application of open source ideas to many different aspects of education. I recorded a video of her talk:

For people who are familiar with open source and similar concepts it will be nothing new, but it may be a good introduction for people new to the area, and I think the fact that she was invited as a keynote speaker is a sign of better acceptance of open source in the education community in recent years.” (http://blog.p2pfoundation.net/video-open-source-futures-for-education/2008/12/01)
