Peter Boghossian was involved in the 2nd 'Sokal Hoax' exposing the weak editorial standards of academic outlets sympathetic to identity politics (the Grievance Studies affair). Doing this, the counter-pressure came from the left, while positive reactions streamed in from the right. This perplexed the left liberal Boghossian and sent him to a path of thinking about new political realignments.
