Hi all - I put the list of core members in alphabetical order - hope thats cool with everybody! :-) cheers mathieu

Don't you feel that having a "core group of peer to peer researchers" is a tad elitist and/or exclusive? To quote Groucho Marx, "PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER". Holtzermann17 22:58, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

not sure if matthieu should answer that ... but the list is decriptive not exclusive, it lists the people that we know who are most involved in p2p studies ... anybody with the same effort can be part of the list ... any social system has to combine both inclusivity and mechanisms for selecting excellence ... so a 'tad' of elitism is part of any system .. the issue for me would rather be, how does the mechanism work, it is fair and does it really bring out the best? but here, it's just a list, to make it easier for people to find each other ..

I understand that the group is only just forming, but right now the ONLY semantics that are at all apparent are those of inclusion/exclusion -- not yet the potentially much more interesting semantics of mutual support, assistance to others, etc. If members of the "core group" are actively working on designing and engineering a system with these features, that's great! But right now that isn't what comes across from this page, except, briefly, in the To Do list at the bottom. Holtzermann17 13:59, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
