Bio

Veronika Bennholdt-Thomsen, German social scientist: Women’s Studies and Peasant Studies (in Mexico, Austria, Germany): She runs the NGO Research Institute on Subsistence Theory and Praxis, Bielefeld, Germany; holds a Honorary Professorship at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. Conducts research on peasant movements in Mexico fighting for ejido and/or common land ownership (Chiapas)
