A steady state economy is "a sustainable economy with stabilized population and consumption."

It is a P2P-informed approach in which non-human life, future generations, and 'nature' are taken as partners, from which no more can be taken, than its ability to regenerate itself.

Casse, the Center for the Advancement of a Steady State Economy, is an advocacy organisation promoting its principles, see at http://www.steadystate.org/
