As a counter-example, he refers to a remarkable book by the Trimondi couple, whih describes the secret ritual politics behind Lama-ism, and how it is finally based on a total destruction of the female principle. These kinds of critiques, says Heron, should clear the way for a spirituality that is finally free of gender oppression. It is all part of a return to the world of life, of immanence, of engagement with relationships.
