"The growing momentum of local democratic initiatives seizing institutional power at a city level has great potential to address national and transnational political problems. This website serves as platform to collect municipal projects in Europe an beyond. These projects work on different topics - from anti-austerity to refugee welcoming - and on different levels: from civic platforms and social movements to city governments. Together they show that a new way of politics is not only possible but already happening.

The website is a collaboration of different organisations which are united in their efforts to create political alternatives beyond the nation state. Proposals for projects not listed yet can be made directly on the website. Also we are open to new collaborations." (https://citiesofchange.org/about/)
