P2P Political Campaign
Geoffrey M. Young 2015 gubernatorial candidate for the Commonwealth Of Kentucky. I agreed to help with his campaign and immediately invited him to join the P2P Community on Facebook. Here's the gist:
- CQ - You can probably make history by becoming one of the first political candidates to embrace peer-to-peer praxis to run a political campaign.
- GY - ok. I like making history :)
So here we are making history for a Commonwealth. -- CQ (talk) 09:38, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
Context-Sensitive Adaptive Content
From an article on SearchEngineWatch.com about adaptive content on eCommerce sites:
- "...new technologies rely on expert systems based on time-tested principles of behavioral psychology and psychological linguistics that determine each user's preferences in real time. This way, the software delivers a context-sensitive, instantaneous, completely personalized experience as customers navigate the website."
Well personally, I really don't give much credence to SEO and eCommerce schemes to attract "customers" through a more "personalized experience" which is just more coercion and deception. What I look for are ways to make activism and public discourse deeper, adding impact and transparency while saving the users' time. The bad guys have more money and resources but the good guys have more integrity and intrinsic value. As Eben Moglen has warned, If we do nothing, they'll circumvent everything the open-source/content movement has provided free of charge and sell it to the general public at a premium price.
Here is an example of context-sensitive adaptive content using MediaWiki:
| local context | Global context | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| contracted | ||||||
