The (Open) Networked Learning Model

"The idea that a learning environment can be constructed using a collection of freely available online tools (instead of an integrated suite or LMS).

Utilising a plethora of rich media content that is open and freely available and shared - open source, open content, Creative Commons.

"Distributed Knowledge"

  • No central repository - drawn from sources all over the web (often still in their original context).
  • No central authoritative source.
  • Dynamic - constantly chnaging and being updated."
