Description

John H. Meursinge:

"Some years ago I had commenced to observe the existence of three over lapping histories of technology:

(1) Apparently originated in Asia: Be sides Mesopotamia I have included in this group Byzantium, Turkey, the Scandinavian and Baltic civilizations, the Netherlands, England, Germany, the United States, and Russia.

(2) Probably came out of Africa: Egypt, Greece, the Roman Empire, the Arabs, Venice, Portugal, Spain, and France are the members of this division.

(3) Mongolian technology: I include in this division Chinese, Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, and the civilizations along the Indian Ocean, such as Thailand, Korea, and Japan.

It would take a great deal of sorting out to prove the existence of this division, but I thought it might be of interest."
