Thanks for introducing this, however I cannot understand why it should be listed as a platform coop? Would you like to talk about your reasons? I believe this should be classified as a platform cooperative. If it isn't, then there are a whole bunch of other cooperatives which shouldn't really be listed on this page. | I believe this should be classified as a platform cooperative. Hi Simon, wooncoop prtovides a platform for cohousing comunities and co-living spaces. Basically you don't own a house, but you don't really rent it eather. People rent a living space (this can be a whole appartment or just a bedroom in a shared living space) but more usually they buy a certain amount of shares in the cooperation which entitles them to a discount relative to the amount of shares bought. It's also possible to buy a few shares every month, enabling one to save and get extra discount every month, even if they don't have the credit-worthiness to qualify for a mortgage. This until the full value of the space is saved up, in which case you don't pay any rent at all. This enables people to step onto the housing ladder.
I believe this should be classified as a platform cooperative. If it isn't, then there are a whole bunch of other cooperatives which shouldn't really be listed on this page.
