I think it is better to give it a new life, as people often look for topical speakers etc ... So I started to do this. If you have any skills for this, it would be really great to make multi-category searching operative on this wiki ...
Here is the new contextual intro for the list:
"A list of people oriented towards thinking about a sharing, commons, p2p oriented society.
We started compiling this list until 2012, but at the prompt of [[User:Asimong|Simon Grant]], we are now trying to make it useful through a topical organization, so that you can find experts, researchers etc .. in specific domains of action.
This list is male-dominated, while this list is larger and exclusively female, see [[100 Women Who Are Co-Creating the P2P Society]]; we hope to integrate them if time.
To do list:
* categorize all the names by topic, topics in alphabetical order, names within topic in alphabetical order
* integrate 100 Women list in this master list
* consider this as an introdoctury selection to our much larger biographical directory section, https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Category:Bios , which contains nearly 1,200 biographies."

Michel, I notice you gave up on this list in 2012.

I'm inclined to agree there is little point in having a list which, if not kept updated, becomes misleading.

But there is one reason I can think of for having a list of this kind: a list of people, notable enough to feature in Wikipedia, for whom there are pages here on the P2PF Wiki.

This could then be a note pad for who we should have pages about, together with links to their wikipedia pages, and until we have a page, a line on why we should have one. On creating a page, then this line could be transferred as the headline of the Bio page.

Once we have a Bio page, there is no more need for links or information here.

We could have a similar policy on e.g. the economists page, or just merge them by having one page with different groupings in it.

This list is male-dominated, while this list is larger and exclusively female, see 100 Women Who Are Co-Creating the P2P Society; we hope to integrate them if time.
