Saw-B is a belgian think thank. In this excellent french-language report, it reviews the history, present practice and potential evolution of new solidarity mechanisms for independent workers. Examples like SMart (Belgium), Coopaname, and others (Bigre) show an evoluton from support structures of those who wanted to transition to non-subordinated work, to actual solidarity mechanisms for working independents, morphing into a new type of labor mutuals which allows independent workers not to create entreprises but instead rely on mutualized solidarity structures to carry out their work and livelihoods.
