| Alexandros (Alekos) Pantazis is a Core Member of the [http://p2plab.org/ P2P Lab], an interdisciplinary research hub, community-driven makerspace, and spin-off of the [http://www.ttu.ee/institutes/ragnar-nurkse-department-of-innovation-and-governance/ Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance] and the [[P2P Foundation]]. He is an environmental engineer, with expertise in participatory design for nature conservation and integrated coastal zone management. Alekos has 17 years experience of active involvement in civil movements, focusing on agrarian grassroots, degrowth and the commons. He has also strong background in informal education. Alekos has worked as a scientific assistant in three European projects in the areas of marine conservation and community-based management as well as in the area of digital commons. He is pursuing a PhD at Tallinn University of Technology on the convergence of convivial technologies, commons and informal education.
