Nice to see you on the P2P Property Management Network page. I'm thinking to build these types of network pages on common purpose with an appropriate commons. Keep them simple and pull out sub routines for additional systems. Same for additional purposes needing to be ascribed to a Commons. I wrote an architecture doc for the stack this week, but this convrrsatiom should go on the P2P Network Models entry now that I think about it. ~~----

Help Page progress

Hi, many hours and edits later I think Help:Contents is looking pretty good. It gives people a jump start and sorts out the most relevant documents in order. Thoughts? I know it is missing the user groups stuff, but I have no answer to that yet. --Alex Rollin 11:55, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Help:User Rights created. No solution to promoton yet. Link at bottom of page. --Alex Rollin 01:45, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

New UI Functionality

P2P Collaboration Stack Overview shows off some spiffy JS with two templates. It's using Template:Collapsed and Template:Section. The text tidbits are pulled from the individual pages. I was hoping that whatever approach we use to start editing all the property and ownership pages could use something like this. --Alex Rollin 15:35, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

I really like this approach.
My far-off dreams: I've long wished Blogs would act more like this - where only the titles were displayed until expanded - since I often can tell I am not interested by the title alone.
I also want to give users the ability to adjust the "exposure level" of the text of an article to any arbitrary character limit - so I can make it look more like feed from Twitter (140) or Facebook (420), etc.
This could even apply to 'sections' within wiki pages to ease skimming. Damn, I need to settle on a language and start writing my own wiki!
I've settled for this one for now. If only I could get the footer links to work. So broken. But yeh, limit the exposure to supporting information. But, at the same time, have a method for creating it, and a way to use it. That overview page is just the start. My plans are to hide each of the sections I write in all the pages scattered across the wiki so as not to produce gigantic pages that send viewers away. I wish it worked a little better. I had my sites set on some Ajax, but this is okay for now. Using templates means the method can be changed, later, too, if something better is found. --Alex Rollin 20:20, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Dear Patrick,

It's really unwise I think to use redirects from a entry to a category, as this impedes anyone from creating an entry on the topic ... what if I wanted to create a page or a comment on user ownership .. I can't now ..
