I. Delio rejects the transhumanist interpretations of Teilhard de Chardin's work:
"Steinhart begins his paper by saying: “Teilhard was one of the first to articulate transhumanist themes. Transhumanists advocate the ethical use of technology for human enhancement. Teilhard's writing likewise argues for the ethical application of technology in order to advance humanity beyond the limitations of natural biology.” I do not believe that Teilhard sought to transcend biological limits through technology, but to deepen the whole biological process of life."
