The following article dates from 2005, kind of outdated :-)

It mentions that there are no examples of peer production of hardware, and it is too much focused on software. Those who read it today are mislead into thinking that peer production doesn't provide a viable alternative. The world has evolved since 2005. Open source hardware has evolved. I think it is a great article, for its time. Visionary! But it is linked on a prominent page and can be misleading for newcomers to p2p. I don't propose to change the article. It's good to keep it for historical purposes.
