Southern Resilience Center of the Valdivian Forest Bioregion in Chile

Description
"The Southern Resilience Center (CRA) was born from a simple conviction: southern Chile already has the people, the knowledge, and the will to sustain itself. Our work is to understand this network, connect its people, and support them with technical, organizational, and financial tools so that it can grow with its own roots.
We examine the Valdivian Forest bioregion through its real capital: natural (water, soil, forest, pollinators), built (networks, machinery, repair capacity), human (health, trades, education), and social (municipalities, civil society and other organizations, trust). For each, we ask the same question: what should this territory be able to offer those who live in it, and how much does it depend on what comes from afar?
We call that distance the maturity gap. It's not a judgment about the territory; it's a measure of what should be covered before a pandemic, a drought, or a disruption to global trade demands it.
We have already completed an initial maturity gap analysis for the entire bioregion : the 74 municipalities of La Araucanía, Los Ríos, and Los Lagos, twelve lines of a decent standard of living, and seven capital stocks, with series spanning up to sixty years. This analysis is based on approximately 300 documents and databases from more than thirty regional and national public agencies, research centers, and international databases, each verified individually.
The analysis was prepared with the help of Claude.ai under the direction of the CRA, and every figure is traceable to its source. Before asking anyone to trust it, we put it to the test: a consistency audit, five thousand perturbations of its assumptions, and three backward comparisons against real crises (the Chiloé red tide in 2016, the 2021-2022 drought, and the 2022 fertilizer shock). The failures are published alongside the successes."
