Bio

"Saturnino (‘Jun’) M. Borras Jr. is Canada Research Chair in International Development Studies in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Humanities and Development (COHD), China Agricultural University, Beijing. He is a Fellow of the Amsterdam-based Transnational Institute (TNI) and of the California-based Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy. Key publications include: Transnational Agrarian Movements Confronting Globalization (2008, co-edited with Marc Edelman and Cristóbal Kay) and Pro-Poor Land Reform: A Critique (2007). He is joining the Rural Development, Environment and Population Studies of the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague, Netherlands starting in January 2011.
