"PWA is for and by housing cooperatives. Together, we are building a movement in which collective and affordable living is not the exception, but a fully-fledged and accessible choice for more and more people in Amsterdam and the surrounding region. Our goal is to connect, support, and strengthen housing cooperatives in Amsterdam. We do this by sharing knowledge and experiences, helping each other, working together with municipalities and other partners, and guiding new initiatives. The Platform Wooncoöperaties Amsterdam (PWA) was established in 2018 as a partnership between housing cooperatives in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. On February 22, 2026, the PWA was founded as a formal association."
