Newunionism.net :

"There is huge need for connected self-organisations of workers, built from the bottom up, and operating at local, national and international level. Towards this end, union power needs to be redistributed outwards -- enabling nodes of 'collective subjectivity' and action. This model of 'distributed networks' enables closer communication and deeper collaboration. The expression “peer-to-peer” describes the relational dynamics between these nodes. This takes us away from the need for a ‘hub’ (which, as history has taught us, can use its position to collect power, and can become co-opted). In the meanwhile, global social movement unions are being built up ‘de facto’, and these will soon bring tectonic shifts to labour organising and societal structures. This will empower workers to act globally in precision, or to swarm in rapid deployments around local conflicts. However, such collective empowerment can only be achieved if the collective itself allows the individual nodes to become hyper-empowered." (http://goo.gl/V3YAz)
