Collaboration Software

Collaboration Software allows two or more people to work together in creating a product. There is an emphasis on "live" collaboration these days, and asynchronous collaboration is just as important. For example, the freedom to leave a finished file in a place where a fellow collaborator can access and edit it at their leisure is even more important in most cases. Any program that alows you to save a file that can be given to someone else through email could qualify as collaboration software. Most of the software in this category meets the following criteria. If a piece of software doesn't meet these criteria it may be removed from this category for that reason.
- Free Software, or a free version, is available legally
- Open Source code, or free (at least one of the two)
