I'm the President of the New York Chapter of Internet Society, http://isoc-ny.org (ISOC-NY), a nonprofit that works for open development of technology, Internet freedom and access for all. We're a Chapter of the global Internet Society, http://isoc.org (ISOC) founded by Vint Cerf, "the father of the Internet".
