I have been working on the Web since 1995 ( AltaVista ) and on the the Social Web since joining Sun Microsystems in 2004. I have been self employed since 2010 when Oracle took over. I contributed to

• the Atom Syntax (RFC4287) and also to discussions on the Atom Protocol • Global distributed identity ( WebID http://webid.info/), Authentication ( WebID over TLS http://webid.info/spec/ ), and Access Control protocols under the WebID Umbrella at the W3C. • The Linked Data Protocol at the W3C which is now a recommendation http://www.w3.org/2012/ldp/wiki/Main_Page • and implemented all those in Scala in the rww-play project https://github.com/read-write-web/wiki/wiki project
