"The German Civil platform Forschungswende works at the national level of science policy and R&I. The aim of the project is to build up a platform of civil society organizations (CSO) in order to enhance capacity in the organisations as well as to engage for more transparency and participation in the research system. We strive for more opportunities of participation in the agenda setting process at the national level and for more transdisciplinary research and innovation. To establish better adopted participatory approaches the platform advocates for participatory governance of the research system.
The Platform of civil society organisations was set up in 2012 and is formed by the CSOs of the environmental, food, student organisations, Trade Unions, etc. organisations and works in collaboration with other partners and advisory boards working on sustainable science."
