George Koutitas (PhD) is an entrepreneur and researcher in the smart grid sector focusing on automated demand response, load disaggregation and prosumer cooperation. George has also served as a researcher and Work Package leader in European research projects in the domain of Energy Efficient Networking and Smart Grids. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an M.Sc. degree (with Distinction and prizes from 'Nokia' and 'Surrey Advisory Board') in Mobile and Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey, UK and a PhD under EPSRC scholarship from Centre for Communications Systems Research, UK. George was funded for his post doc research in Smart Grids from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly. George contributed on the development of novel postgraduate programs at the International Hellenic University introducing interdisciplinary modules in the area of Green ICT. He has 7 years of teaching experience at graduate and postgraduate level.
