This phrase is mentioned so much, and Category:Design doesn't seem to cover what seems to be implied.

I think we need this page so we can begin to talk about the rivalry and exclusion inherent in all production, and how to compensate the collective others through an "at cost" Tax or Rent. (By 'Tax' and/or 'Rent' here I am NOT talking about the Profit portion of those things, but using the terms as Henry George suggested in his proposal for a "Single Tax" or "Land Rent" (though I don't fully agree with his approach)).

While I have talked about the similarities of bread and software, we also need to talk about what actually IS different when copying wine or song. -- Ownut 13:19, 5 February 2008 (PST)
