Locus of concern is the here and now, i.e. short time-span. Infant stage.


- 2. The Line Mode

LoC is 'there and then, encompassing 8 to 10 months, past and future have become available


- 3. The Construct Mode

LoC is 'somewhere, sometime, there is no spectrum; it requires 'imaginative reconstruction', i.e. 'transcendence', stage of 3-year olds. Awareness is not limited by space and time ('nowhere'), and can be disembedded from context.
