George Papanikolaou has been trained as a medical doctor and practiced clinical medicine for nearly ten years, before he switched to genetic research. He has spend sometime as a post doc at the university of Athens and have been employed by the pharma industry from which he recently resigned. Furthermore, he has been always interested in researching the social, political and economic science and during the 80's as a student he got involved into politics in Greece. George Papanikolaou is an author of the Greek P2P blog as well as the translator of the essay "The political economy of peer production".
