Lifelong activist - first against military service under apartheid (and worldwide), then for sustainability in the democratic South Africa (and worldwide), eventually for freedom of information & communication worldwide.

The first culminated in prosecution and a one-year jail sentence, suspended on condition of unpaid hospital work.

The second culminated in being the first, and so far the only, green politician elected in South Africa.

The last has yet to reach full fruition - hence affiliation with P2P Foundation.
