Description
The Citizens Media® (CM) [1] is an open-everything platform and collaborative environment to create new distributed systems [2] that enable real change to occur. Merging complex technologies into an integrated, mobile-enabled interface, by working in real-time projects [3] with those we are meaning to serve, and coupling with a peer to peer (P2P) [4] development group, we deliver end-to-end communication solutions that unite and empower people and their communities in developing and developed nations around the world.
The first priority for CM is to give voice to unconnected people of Africa from both within and across communities, regionally and further afield [5]. Centered around the provision of tools and strategies that facilitate the development of small scale agricultural enterprise, by enabling the world's rural poor to share experiences and gain access to knowledge and information for implementing best practices, CM will help them to realise new opportunities for pulling themselves out of poverty and moving forward with a sense of dignity and pride.
