Description
Récup'Kitchen (RK) is a mobile kitchen that recovers the unsold food at the end of the Brussels markets to give them a second life. Our team of volunteers meets regularly to make delicious vegetarian dishes. The project was launched in early 2016, from the crowdfunding platform Growfunding . Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our contributors, we were able to raise a sum of 7000 EUR: enough to buy the kitchen, to renovate it, to add a work plan, an oven, a sink, etc. Recuper'Kitchen is more than just a food recovery project, it is now a way to create social ties in a part of the city that is in dire need of it.
