Vasilis Niaros is an urbanist, regional planner and engineer as well as PhD candidate (expected in early 2016) at the Ragnar Nurkse School of Innovation and Governance, Tallinn University of Technology. His research interests include open source technologies, "smart city", makerspaces and do-it-yourself culture. He is also research fellow and project manager at the P2P Lab, a community-­driven research hub and makerspace interested in interdisciplinary research on free/open source technologies and practice.
