San Pisith

San Pisith is a Buddhist Monk and a Junior Research Fellow at Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance. He has joined the Cosmolocalism project since September 2019 to pursue a Ph.D. at TalTech, Estonia. His Ph.D. thesis focuses on Buddhist Economics and Governance: Theravada Perspectives on Commons-Based Peer Production, Policy without Indicators, and Happiness and Public Purpose.

He received his BA from International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University, Myanmar, in 2016, and his MA from International Buddhist College, Thailand (Thesis passed with distinction), in 2018. He worked for Buddhism for Development (BFD) to assist the program officer in developing plans, monitoring the human rights program and helped the program officer oversee and report program activities on the matter relating to the development and management of the BFD strategic program. He was also a Lecturer at Preah Sihanoukraja Buddhist University, Battambang campus. He has published and edited:
