"In the suburb of where we live in Porirua the Ranui Residents Association has done amazing work in re-development of the area including planting of native shrubs and fruit trees, redesign of local shop area, sculptures and a play park. My own work is more in woman's networking including local ladies gatherings showcasing local womens businesses, clothes swaps and fundraising events. There is also a wonderful local group called the Koha Shed which allows people to donate items and locals to collect - all free - a wonderful organisation which helps those that need in the community hugely - run by a woman out of her garage. Made more successful by the use of social media."
