Andreas Wittel is Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University (UK), School of Arts and Humanities. He has organised with Michel Bauwens the first workshop on peer production. His research interests lie at the intersection of political economy and digital media, with a particular interest in the digital commons, free culture, intellectual property, net-politics, and digital practices such as sharing and collaborating.
