Description
wooncoop is a Flemish organization that unites many people to democratically own and manage real estate. Together, wooncoop creates a positive impact on society by increasing social cohesion and making the housing market more accessible and fair.
wooncoop was founded at the end of 2017 and by 2022 has grown to +1000 shareholders and 23 projects. The goal is to steward 1000 buildings by 2040. With that scale the organization can offer services on a high level and have a lot of influence on the socio-ecological transition of our society. It has two main aims:
- Promote cohousing and co-living
- Provide a middle path between renting and buying.
